The Czech carrier Smartwings opened a number of new regular routes last fall. With the winter flight schedule, it expanded its route network by 7 new destinations: Toulouse, Bilbao, Brussels, Barcelona, Porto, Bucharest and Rome. At the same time, it increased the frequencies to Paris and Malaga.
The Prague – Malaga route now flies 12 times a week, and from the new flight schedule it will be available even more often, twice a day. Smartwings will operate daily to Barcelona, Brussels, Bucharest, Valencia and Rome (Fiumicino).
The Prague – Bilbao, Prague – Porto and Prague – Toulouse routes will operate twice a week.
During the summer flight schedule 2026, Smartwings will offer direct flights from Prague to eighty destinations.
Among the interesting features, the return of charter flights to the Greek island of Skyros is confirmed. This year, direct flights for the Brenna travel agency will be provided by Airbus A220-300s in the colors of Czech Airlines.
The group's fleet consists of 44 aircraft. It includes four A220-300s, two A320s, two Boeing 737-900ERs, thirteen Boeing 737 MAX 8s and 23 Boeing 737-800s. Cessna aircraft from sister carrier UGJet are not included.
Three Czech aircraft are based in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), from where they fly on the routes of the Saudi carrier flyNas – registrations OK-TVY, OK-TSS and OK-TST. Two are leased to the Cameroonian carrier Camair-Co and are based in Douala (Cameroon) – OK-TVJ and OK-TSE.
Five aircraft are now based at the Indian airport of Ahmedabad and are leased to SpiceJet. India has Boeing 737-800s with registrations OK-TVM, OK-TVR, OK-TVS, OK-TVU and OK-TVV. A Boeing with registration OK-TVG was recently spotted at Ruzyne Airport with a SpiceJet sticker.
In February, a monthly lease (ACMI) of a Boeing 737 MAX 8 with registration OK-SWH (serial number 62902, year of manufacture 2023) was carried out by Air Seychelles. The Boeing was based at the airport on the island of Mahé near the capital Victoria. It was deployed on flights to Johannesburg, Colombo, Tel Aviv and Mauritius.
